Invia Travel Germany lays the foundation for future growth with an expanded management team. Sascha Meißner, previously Head of Product at Mister Spex, will become the new Chief Product Officer. Pascal Schuster is promoted to Chief Operating Officer. The former COO Stephan Wiese leaves the company.

Invia Travel Germany is preparing for the future by expanding its management team. On 1 October 2018, Sascha Meißner will join the operator of ab-in-den-urlaub.de as Chief Product Officer. Meißner comes from the online eyewear retailer Mister Spex and will be responsible for the future product development of ab-in-den-urlaub.de in Leipzig.

Meißner is working closely with Pascal Schuster, who, as the new Chief Operating Officer, will assume commercial responsibility for the portals from 1 September. Schuster was most recently Director Business Development M&A at Invia. Previously, Invia Travel Germany had already announced the appointment of Andreas Berg as Chief Marketing Officer and Pete Lindow as Chief Technology Officer (ad interim).

New management team now complete

In the future, the quartet will belong to the new extended management of Invia Travel Germany with the managing directors Boris Raoul, Tobias Walther-Merkwitz and Nikolaus Pauseback.

“Our new management team has enormous digital expertise at its disposal. They are eager to develop ab-in-den-urlaub.de into a unique marketplace for modern travel,” says Boris Raoul, who is also CEO of the Prague-based pan-European Invia Group. The right team has now been found for this mission.

Thanks to outgoing Chief Operating Officer

Boris Raoul expressed his special thanks to Stephan Wiese, the outgoing Chief Operating Officer, who is leaving the company at his own request. “For many years, Stephan Wiese was a supporting pillar for the business of ab-in-den-urlaub.de, said Raoul. His responsibility will now be placed in the hands of the new management. Wiese has been responsible for the online travel agency’s product and technology in various functions since 2004 and now wants to take on new challenges.
